This four week course is designed to help you create a bulletproof self tape process.
Rosie will guide you through the process of how to create a memorable self tape, with the final product catching the eye of casting directors. With different methods and techniques, you will learn how to feel comfortable and confident filming a self tape, whether that be in a studio or in your living room!
With experience as an Actor, Casting Director at Faith Martin Casting and Agent at JM Agency, Rosie Traynor has an expansive and thorough understanding of self tape auditions:
How to approach them as an actor and book work. Rosie has a Dip Theatre from University of Southern Queensland, and has studied UTA Hagen technique at HB Studios in New York City.
How Agents send self tape requests, and how they respond to seeing your tape, and what they look for in a self tape reel (Rosie self taped with actors such as Lincoln Younes, Martin Sharpe ,Bella Heathcote, Penny Mitchell, Daniel Fredrickson and Kate Atkinson when she was at JM Agency).
What Casting Directors are looking for in Screen Tests, and how Producer and Director sessions influence the casting process. Rosie started casting in the year 2000, has conducted thousands of auditions and discussed countless screen tests with producers and directors.
Some of the actors Rosie has self tested over the include: Jacinta Stapelton, John Wood, Pia Miranda, Xavier Samuel, Katrina Milosovic, Mark Leonard Winter, Deborah Lawrence, Maria Mercedes, Dion Williams, Brett Cousins and she has loads of experience working with emerging artists at the beginning of their career.
This is an opportunity to upgrade your self tape process, get vital insider knowledge on how to stand out in your audition, and bring confidence to your next self tape request.
COURSE OUTLINE:
Rosie will look at the following elements of self tape auditions. You will be required to film TWO self tapes at home as part of this course, as well as working on Self Tape technique in the room with Rosie.

About Rosie Traynor:
With almost 30 years in the business, Rosie is an industry all-rounder who is well-known and respected by the acting fraternity.
She is has an oustanting ability to spot talent and facilitate the best-possible performances. Rosie can understand client briefs- commercial to drama- from all angles. In addition to being a Casting Director, she holds considerable experience as a talent agent, talent co-ordinator, production co-ordinator, actor and drama coach.
Rosie has had experience casting film, theatre and television programs including Stingers, Blue Heelers, Offspring, Rush, Blue Heelers, The Secret Life of Us, Twisted Sister (currently in production), Lake Mungo (feature). As well as casting many Television Commercials.
Rosie has worked with Faith Martin Casting, Fremantle and Chameleon Casting in Melbourne.
