Dave will be working in depth with a limited number of actors on the casting process, audition technique, and how to make an impact on camera.

With a strong desire to unearth fresh Australian talent, Dave Newman is actively involved in not only finding but also nurturing the development of Australian talent. Being involved in: Nautilus (the TV series) which is currently in filming and Hitwoman's Revenge in pre-production; Love and Monsters, Blacklight, Rock Island Mysteries, The End, Dora and the Lost City of Gold, The Family Law, Tidelands, The Bureau of Magical Things, Mako Mermaids, Terra Nova, and many, many more!

The first part of this class will be a self-tape. Scenes will be self-chosen and are to be, ideally, no longer than three minutes. The tapes will be sent to Dave, who will view them and give personalised feedback on performance. Some of the tapes may be shown in class as references, but we will ask for permission from you if we want to use your tape for any examples.

The second half of this class will be a scene done in-studio and chosen by Dave himself.

This is an incredible opportunity for Sydney actors to work with a highly sought-after casting director to enhance their acting abilities whilst building a professional relationship with Dave.
