Johnny Ong has been working in the UK casting industry for over 8 years, and has worked on high profile projects such as: The Crown, End of the F***ing World, Outlander and more.
Johnny now works as a Freelance Casting Director, frequently collaborating with Faith Martin at Faith Martin Casting and in the UK at Garrett Casting. Most recently he has been snapped up by NIDA as a Producer for various film, audio and stills content on a brand new exciting project.
Knowledge is power. This Unique Industry Masterclass & Casting Workshop will include an in-depth interactive information session on the UK industry.
Learn about the state of the industry, what Visas are available to you, what Spotlight is and how to get on it, who the top Casting Directors are and what Agents to go for, advice on tightening up your showreels and acting materials, tips on how to manage your career in a competitive industry, and who you need to know to get cast in UK projects. This session includes an extensive Q&A with Johnny. Don’t be afraid to ask any question.
Finally, finish off the session working up on the floor, in front of camera on UK scenes that will be cast by Johnny!

ABOUT JOHNNY:
Johnny has been working in the UK casting industry for over 8 years. His journey in Casting began working as head of Casting Operations at Newman Studios. High profile client Casting projects worked on include "NETFLIX: The Crown Season 3 (Nina Gold Casting)", "CHANNEL 4/NETFLIX: The End of the F***ing World, season 1 (Kharmel Cochrane Casting)" and "The Protégé", directed by BAFTA winning Director Martin Campbell credits include: Casino Royale, Goldeneye, (Dan Hubbard Casting). Johnny has since moved on from Operations to working as a freelance Casting Assistant and a Casting Associate for Garrett Casting. Recently he has spread his work overseas to become a UK Casting consultant & Casting Associate for Faith Martin Casting in Sydney, Australia. Most recently he has been snapped up by NIDA as a Producer for various film, audio and stills content on a brand new exciting project.
