”No one knows this but Kodi’s dad, Andy, was a mentor to me, and he was the one who started my process of acting,” Sweeney shared. “He taught me to separate myself from my characters.” Sweeney took this advice in stride and began her process of creating books for all of her characters.

COURSE OUTLINE:

This three day intensive is for committed, curious actors who want to deepen their work, refine their on camera technique, and communicate their truth on screen. Over the three days you will explore:

  • Finding the truth in self

  • Finding the truth in the dialogue

  • Finding the truth in the scene

  • Finding the truth in the character

  • Finding the truth in the moment.

Working on multiple scenes over the weekend, Andy will help you ask the right questions, exploring the widest range of your imagination, dig deep into your scenes and into your character - all to find the deepest possible truth in the moment.

With work done on camera, you will leave the course with high quality scenes coached by an international actor and acting coach for your reel and casting profiles.

With decades of on screen experience, Andy will take you through scene work and help you build tools to create a real, impulsive character merged with your self; finding truth in the character, building backstory, engaging vocal and physical vitality and allowing spontaneous authentic reactions in the moment.
