TAFTA is thrilled to welcome UK Casting Director Jade Rambaut to our Australian studios. Jade has worked for Sophie Holland Casting and Finnian Tweed Casting and has been responsible for casting projects such as: 'The Witcher' and 'Redeeming Love' (DJ Curuso (xXx, I Am Number Four, Eagle Eye). 'Sweet Bitter' (Produced by PlanB//Brad Pitt!!), 'Indian Detective' (Created by Frank Spotnitz), 'Down a Dark Hall' (Starring Uma Therman, AnnaSophia Rob and Directed by Rodrigo Cortés) and 'Den of Thieves 2: Pantera' (starring Gerard Butler, O'Shea Jackson Jr and directed by Christian Gudegast and produced by eOne).
A multi-hyphenate of the highest order, Jade has also produced TWO feature films, 'Butterfly Kisses' which won the Berlin Bear (Berlinale Film Festival) and 'A Brixton Tale' (starring Jaime Winstone and Lily Newmark).
With a background as a trained actor-turned-Casting Director, as well as a Qualified NLP and CBT coach and a long-standing Associate and Coach in the European Entertainment Industry, Jade knows the best acting is when it is real, messy and unplanned and will be able to help you find the truth in your mess and communicate it through the scene.
In this hands-on workshop, you will get the opportunity to workshop your scene with Jade and learn valuable self-tape techniques from a Casting Director, as well as learning tools to find your confidence, bring your self-esteem into every self-tape and win the room!
Jade will be available for an open forum Q&A at the end of each workshop, answering any questions about the UK Industry, the projects she has been involved with, and how to get on UK Casting’s radar in Australia!
You will be allocated a paired scene to learn and be off-book by the time of the workshop. Enrol early to get more time with your scene in preparation for the workshop!
