Rose started her career in the 90s selling hand drawn tickets to self-devised performances in her parents living room.

Undeterred by her best work being behind her, Rose then set out to pursue a future in the creative industry.

You may have seen Rose in TV series' such as Jamie: Private School Girl, Utopia, Glitch and How to Stay Married. Perhaps you've spotted her on a TVC or two, on the Adelaide Fringe stage, or maybe you caught her directorial debut The Critic at last year's Melbourne Fringe. Rose was recently appointed to the committee of stand out theatre company Bitten By Productions and has spent isolation starring in a soon to be released 14 episode mystery/drama web series, The Pact.

In 2020 Rose co-founded SceneWorkout; Facilitating scene-work sessions designed for experienced actors to train, connect and perpetually improve their craft between jobs. Rose also hosts the SceneWorkout Podcast interviewing industry pros to assist actors in navigating the current Australian industry landscape (available on Spotify).

The Pact Web Series

1. How have you been keeping up with your acting during isolation?

I've been fortunate to have had a couple of great opportunities throughout iso.

I've been involved in a thrilling drama/mystery web series being released soon called The Pact directed by Peter Blackburn and produced by Bitten By Productions which was shot entirely in isolation. I also managed to sneak in a cheeky TVC between lockdowns!

Pre-lockdown I co-founded the acting training business SceneWorkout which facilitates regular sessions for experienced actors to work out the acting muscle between jobs. We've had some amazing sessions at our space in Collingwood and have just launched our podcast for actors which happens to be "great" timing for lockdown 2.0 as we can't run our sessions but we can stay connected with our community of brilliant creatives! Check out @sceneworkout on instagram for more info.

2. Who's your biggest motivator?

My SceneWorkout business partner Amy Robinson always keeps me inspired. It's brilliant to have someone so hardworking, encouraging, supportive by your side. I would recommend everyone getting an Amy!

3. What's the best advice you've received?

"It's okay." Simple but I use it all the time. There's always going to be obstacles, challenges, rejections and judgements. I like to step back, look at the big picture and go you know what? That happened. And it's okay. I'm okay. It'll all be okay.

4. Where do you draw inspiration from?

Every person has innate value and a story worth listening to. I like to listen to others and often find myself surprised and inspired by what they have to say.
