TAFTA is excited to offer Gold Coast Actors the incredibly rare opportunity to work with the acting coach for DC's Aquaman and, more recently, NBC’s Young Rock, NBC’s Joe Exotic, and Amazon Prime’s The Wilds: Hollywood and Gold Coast based Kristy Sexton! This will be the only in-room Masterclass in Gold Coast this year, so don't miss out!
Kristy is what’s known as a Ghost Acting Coach. She has worked on some of the highest profile international projects in the world, but stays in the background doing what is most important; guiding actors to get themselves to Oscar-level performances.
Kristy also frequently has studio heads and producers consult with her for her opinion on final castings for projects!
This in-room workshop is for actors who want to work with a world-class acting coach to get their skills to their next level. Kristy will focus on what you specifically need to improve your own craft and career, and she will be sure to kick you into gear and get you focussing on the final goal: creating more and being consistent in your own unique greatness.
You will also be assigned a scene which you will perform in class and Kristy will give you valuable feedback on performance, choices, and your general approach to the material.
Plus, with so many international projects now shooting in Australia, and the net being cast even wider, Kristy will cover several aspects of the international market that will help you stand out from the crowd. She will discuss marketing and branding, text analysis and preparation for auditions as well as chemistry.
Kristy is currently based out of both Hollywood and the Gold Coast, so welcoming Kristy to Sydney for this rare opportunity couldn't be more exciting!

About Kristy Sexton
Kristy Sexton is a world class acting coach with over 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry. She is currently based out of both Hollywood and the Gold Coast. Kristy has worked in a multiple branches of production on projects ranging from low budget to major motion pictures. As an acting coach. She travels the world working with actors from student films to Oscar winning projects to help them reach their full potential.
