As Actors we are often one of the last creative choices to be made in the creative process. It's often this reason we are expected to turn scripts over and be ready to perform them in a matter of days, sometimes even on the day. To be ready to give your most grounded, relaxed, and authentic performance you need to have your "Actors Muscle in good condition. This is what this course is for. Consider it your gym. (minus all the hypermasculine energy)

Weekly Rotations: Script Week - Screen Week

Script Week: Script Analysis, Character Development, Rehearsals

  • Script Sleuthing: Learn to decode scripts swiftly, identifying beats and objectives, and highlight and understand character & emotional obligations.

  • Character Alchemy: Dive deep into character development, character journaling, improvisation, hone your ability to bring life to roles with authenticity.

  • Imagination Workouts: Develop your imaginative prowess, gently discover how much reality you can breathe into the script.

Screen Week: Get the scene up on its "Trotters" and in front of a Camera

  • Fast Turnaround Filming: Use everything we discovered in the previous week and challenge yourself and your scene partner with the feeling of having a camera on you.

  • Immediate Feedback: Receive constructive feedback, rinse and repeat until it shines

Requirements:

Bring a script you want to work on over the next few weeks. Send your scenes prior to class so Tim can go over them.

In his down time Tim has been honing his comedy craft by appearing in open mic comedy nights around Sydney. He is also the co-creator, writer, director and lead actor for the comedy drama iAm, a kickstarter funded project. He landed his first feature film role in "Before Dawn" set to hit screens in 2023. He created his own preposterous podcast "Okay But What If" a Spotify Original.
