1. How have you been keeping up with your acting during isolation?

It’s been a real challenge during this time. I have been working on small areas that I feel I needed to work on such as my mid west American accent. I like to watch YouTubers of my age from America speaking in their relaxed vocal range and try to pick up their sounds use of their vowels and diction.

I have also been working with my colleagues on self tapes and getting a good home set up (or in my case using a friends home set up), then working on scenes and auditions and perfecting that as it is may become the norm more and more as we move forward.

2. Who's your biggest motivator?

I would say myself. Only I will get myself out of bed to take on the challenges we face, or work on an area to improve my craft.

I think we all find it hard to find these motivations and we all have negative thoughts. I think it’s good to start with small goals that lead to larger goals that we can work on daily or weekly to help keep that inspiration and motivation going.

Also surrounding yourself with people that can help pick you up when you need it and to remind yourself that you’re awesome is always a good thing.

3. What's the best advice you've received?

Don’t allow the negative inner thoughts to beat you up. Would you be ok with the negative thoughts that you say to yourself to be said to your closest friends or family? Don’t be nice, but be kind to yourself and to each other.

4. Where do you draw inspiration from?

It can come to me from random parts of my life: A film, seeing a theatre show, something someone says to you, reading a book. Just keep on listening to your surroundings and be observant and you will find inspiration everywhere.
